Fox Racing V1 Raid Helmet

Shape:Intermediate Oval

Weight:3.26 lbs.

The Fox Racing V1 Raid Helmet sets the new standard for safety and performance, giving you peace of mind on every ride. With its integratedMips® safety systemHow does the Mips® safety system work? The brain is typically more sensitive to rotational motion than linear motion because it has shear properties similar to water or gel. When different parts of the brain move relative to each other because of rotational motion, the tissues can stretch, which can cause concussions or other brain injuries. Rotational motion is a common cause of concussions and more severe brain injury in oblique hits to the head. The Mips® safety system consists of a low friction layer mounted inside the helmet. In a crash, the low friction layer is designed to move slightly inside the helmet to help redirect forces away from the head. This is intended to help reduce the risk of brain injury.and a lightweight, injection-molded shell, this helmet is designed to disperse energy in a crash. Plus, its superior ventilation and comfortable fit will keep you cool and focused on the trail ahead!

• Mips® safety system added protection system has been proven to reduce the rotational motion when implemented in a helmet by absorbing and redirecting energies and forces otherwise transmitted to the brain
• Adjustable visor with breakaway side screws
• Lightweight injection molded polycarbonate & ABS shell construction is intended to disperse energy in the event of a crash
• 4 shell and 5 EPS sizes for a precise fit
• Removable and washable comfort liner and cheek pads
• Removable mouth vent cover and padded EVA chinbar
• 7 intake and 4 exhaust vents for optimum airflow
• MeetsECE 22.06ECE 22.06 is a helmet safety rating that extends and increases the testing requirements of ECE 22.05 (with 22.05 being a more modern and more comprehensive European alternative to DOT). With 22.06, 12 additional impact points are analyzed (now totaling 18) and impact speed is increased (from 7.5 to 8.2 m/s). Unlike DOT, every ECE helmet model must actually be tested by an independent lab before it receives 22.06 certification.and DOT certifications
