The RAM-B-252 marine grade aluminum base consists of a 1″ diameter ball and 2.25″ x 0.875″ base with 11mm hole. This part is attached to the mirror frame.This part fits well on many handlebar pinch bolts with a washer (base is 5mm thick).The RAM-B-272 consists of a 1″ diameter ball and base with 9mm hole. This part is attached to the mirror frame.Many BMW’s use either the B-252 or the B-272.
