The 6D ATS-1R Helmet is a race helmet designed for the modern age. Featuring 6D’s ODS (Omni-Directional SuspensionOmni-Directional Suspension (ODS) is an active, in-helmet energy management system. The system reduces energy transfer to the brain over a wider range of energy demands, including low, mid, and high-velocity impacts for both linear and angular acceleration. ODS performance is achieved through the use of a suspended dual-liner assembly that can displace and shear in any direction upon impact. Premium helmet producers utilize multi-density EPS liners to balance comfort, safety and performance., the ODS features an air-gap to allow for improved ventilation and nine total vents move air through the helmet. The shell of the ATS-1R is 100% carbon fiber and combined with the ODS, provides a protection to weight ratio heretofore unseen. The ATS-1R comes with aPinlockA Pinlock lens is made to enjoy a fog-free ride. It is based on two key principles to ensure a fog-free vision. The moisture absorbing surface of the lens effectively attracts and stores water molecules, while the airtight seal creates a thermal barrier together preventing condensation of the visor. The system is kept in place by positioning the lens between two adjustable pins, making Pinlock the number one anti-fog solution for helmets.-ready faceshield and a lens insert is included in the box.
