Fox Racing V3 Helmet

Shape:Intermediate Oval

The V3 Solid Helmet gets straight to the style point. It’s a solid, no-nonsense, stylish performer with your safety as its top priority. Equipped withMips® safety systemHow does the Mips® safety system work? The brain is typically more sensitive to rotational motion than linear motion because it has shear properties similar to water or gel. When different parts of the brain move relative to each other because of rotational motion, the tissues can stretch, which can cause concussions or other brain injuries. Rotational motion is a common cause of concussions and more severe brain injury in oblique hits to the head. The Mips® safety system consists of a low friction layer mounted inside the helmet. In a crash, the low friction layer is designed to move slightly inside the helmet to help redirect forces away from the head. This is intended to help reduce the risk of brain injury.—an impact technology that manages rotational forces on impact to add a low-friction layer between the helmet and the head, the V3 puts your protection front and center.

The composite fiberglass shell bumps up the impact resistance, but without sacrificing its lightweight feel. Featuring a hydration routing system so you can keep the H2O flowing as you rip, ride comfort is enhanced further with induction vents to aid ventilation plus the Ionic+ moisture-wicking liner and cheek pads to keep you cool.

This helmet also has speaker recess compartments compatible with most helmet communication systems and comes with a removable mudguard visor. Safety and performance go hand-in-hand with this race-ready dirt bike helmet.

• Mips® safety system
• A composite fiberglass shell provides increased impact resistance while reducing weight
• 3-position visor with custom shear-away hardware
• The MDEPS™EPS linerExpanded polystyrene (EPS) is a rigid, energy absorbing foam. In the helmet industry, EPS is the most common means of energy management to protect the brain. Generic EPS is often referred to as “Styrofoam” (a trademarked name owned by the Dow Chemical Company). Premium helmet producers utilize multi-density EPS liners to balance comfort, safety and performance.protects by spreading the forces of impact across a wider surface area
• Proprietary Eject compatible cheek pad removal system
• Ionic+ moisture-wicking liner
• Speaker recess compartments are compatible with most helmet communication systems
• The hydration routing system allows you to hydrate while on the move
• Titanium D-ring fastener
• Removable mud guard visor extension included
• Meets DOT andECE 22.06ECE 22.06 is a helmet safety rating that extends and increases the testing requirements of ECE 22.05 (with 22.05 being a more modern and more comprehensive European alternative to DOT). With 22.06, 12 additional impact points are analyzed (now totaling 18) and impact speed is increased (from 7.5 to 8.2 m/s). Unlike DOT, every ECE helmet model must actually be tested by an independent lab before it receives 22.06 certification.standards
